If you’re a novice, a beginner looking to start up playing tennis, an intermediate player looking to improve your game, or a more advanced level trying to get better competition, you will find some great Miami deals in the area at tennis clubs and recreational parks.
With spring here and summer just around the corner, what can be better than making plans for vacations or summer camps involving sporting activities? And tennis? It’s the best sport to play in the best weather conditions possible here in South Florida.
Why play tennis? Because it’s a fun sport, it is a good social interaction, promotes a healthy lifestyle and you can make it a family activity if you so desire. Most importantly tennis is a great sport for kids of all ages as well as adults. Who wouldn’t want their children to get such benefits through their growing years. So, think about it … wouldn’t it be fun to have a wonderful time on the local tennis courts?
Miami-Dade Parks has over 50 locations with more than 200 courts to ‘serve’ every corner of the county. There are individual lessons or group lessons designed for all levels of interest; one can join leagues for tournament play; and also buy equipment.
If you’re a beginner, make sure to go through several rackets to test which one works best for you based on your skill, see which racket feels most comfortable. Tennis clubs have pro shops that can help you with the selection process of your equipment from racket to sneakers, general attire and all your tennis necessities.
Tennis also accommodates those with disabilities who can play at many of the same Miami-Dade Parks tennis centers. Basic and intermediate wheelchair tennis skills are taught at various locations.
For visitors to South Florida, you can find more Miami deal packages including hotel reservations with great accommodations like spa, pool, ocean views, and of course plenty of tennis courts. One fine example is the historic Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables which has 10 courts, good pros and a wonderful swimming pool.
Other options would be to check out deals at the Cliff Drysdale or can stay downtown and play at the Brickell Tennis Club and enjoy many other attractions in South Beach and Key Biscayne.
Miami Deals are available, they’re out there, find them online, and in local publications.
South Florida is perhaps the most popular tennis hot spot in the country. Take advantage of it.
